Ayurvedic Pulse Diagnosis

Nadi Parikshan in Vadodara

Your reports say you’re fine, but you don’t feel fine? Nadi Parikshan — reading the pulse at the wrist — helps our Ayurvedic doctors understand your body type, what is out of balance, and why. It’s the starting point for a plan that fits you.

What It Is

More Than Counting Heartbeats

In Ayurveda, the pulse reflects how the whole body is working — digestion, energy, sleep, stress and recovery. A trained Nadi Vaidya feels the quality of the pulse under three fingers, not just its speed, to understand your natural constitution (prakruti) and your present imbalance (vikruti).

Two people can have the same symptom — say, acidity — for very different reasons. The pulse helps tell those stories apart, so treatment fits you.

Works alongside modern medicine. Nadi Parikshan doesn’t replace blood tests or scans. Lab reports show what has become measurable; the pulse helps explain patterns and tendencies. Your doctor may use both.
The Three Doshas

What the Pulse Can Show

Vata

Light, fast and irregular. When high, it can show up as anxiety, dryness, poor sleep, gas or an unpredictable appetite.

Pitta

Sharp, warm and strong. When high, it can show up as acidity, irritability, skin breakouts, inflammation or burnout.

Kapha

Slow, deep and steady. When high, it can show up as heaviness, congestion, sluggish digestion or weight gain.

Who It’s For

Not Unwell, But Not Well Either?

  • Acidity, bloating or irregular digestion
  • Poor sleep, stress or constant tiredness
  • Recurring headaches
  • Skin problems that keep coming back
  • Weight, sugar or thyroid concerns you want to manage naturally
  • Reports that look normal, but you still don’t feel right
  • Anyone who wants to know their body type and how to eat and live for it

Questions

Nadi Parikshan FAQs

What is Nadi Parikshan?

Nadi Parikshan is traditional Ayurvedic pulse diagnosis. The doctor reads the pulse at the wrist to understand your constitution (prakruti), your current imbalance (vikruti) and patterns in digestion, sleep, stress and energy.

Does Nadi Parikshan replace blood tests or medical reports?

No. It looks at health from a different angle. Your doctor may still ask for medical reports where needed, and Nadi Parikshan is read alongside them to build a more complete picture.

Who should get a Nadi Parikshan?

Anyone who wants to understand their body better — especially if you have ongoing acidity, bloating, poor sleep, stress, fatigue, recurring headaches or skin problems, or your reports look normal but you still don’t feel well.

Do I need an appointment?
