Questions

Headache & Migraine FAQs

Can osteopathy help with migraine?

Many people with migraine or tension headaches also carry tension in the neck, shoulders and upper back. Osteopathy works on that tension and on posture, which some patients find reduces how often or how strongly headaches come. It is used alongside — not instead of — your doctor’s care.

How does Ayurveda look at headaches?

Ayurveda looks for patterns behind recurring headaches — such as poor sleep, irregular meals, acidity, stress or excess heat in the body. The doctor suggests diet and routine changes and, where suitable, therapies such as Nasya or Shirodhara.

Should I stop my headache medicines?

No. Do not stop any prescribed medicine on your own. Bring your current medicines and any reports to the consultation.

How many sessions will I need?

It depends on how long you have had headaches and what is driving them. After the first assessment, you’ll get a realistic plan and timeline.

Tired of Headaches?

Tell us how often they come and what they feel like — we’ll suggest whether to start with osteopathy, Ayurveda or both.
